IPOM Crosswalk

The Multi-State Partnership for Prevention (MSPP) offers a rich set of technology solutions serving public health and enabling you to fulfill IPOM strategies.  In this article we’ll briefly review five MSPP systems that address IPOM priorities and then crosswalk these systems and capabilities against specific IPOM strategies, so you can see exactly how we can help.

MSPP Systems Supporting IPOM Strategies

  • PME automates end-to-end clinic management, including patient registration, vaccine inventory tracking, reporting, and data transfer to your IIS, EHRs, or any other electronic system recipient.
  • PME performs deduplication of patient records.
  • The system offers bi-directional capabilities that allow you to view a patient’s vaccination history. You can sign up students, children, and adults for clinics and then use PME to query your IIS.  PME will return the patient’s complete vaccination history (not just COVID vaccinations) documented in your IIS and, if you so choose, in other IISs that are linked to our system.

For additional information about ReadiBilling, see the Product Spotlight section of this edition of the newsletter.

PrepMod Enterprise (PME) is the stronger, more powerful version of our flagship PrepMod system. The Majority of MSPP customers are now using PME.

ReadiBilling is our seamless interface allowing you to bill third parties for vaccination services you have administered.  Whether you are a PrepMod- or non-PrepMod-user, after a simple, one-time setup you’re connected to our IIS Gateway system and can push some or all of your vaccination records to us.  We’ll massage the record formats, send them to our billing partner, process the bills, and you’ll get paid.  You can bill for the administration fee-only, or for both the administration and vaccination fees.  It’s a very simple process.

CRAccess is our consumer access portal for vaccination records.  The system issues a QR code to let businesses and other stakeholders know the consumer is vaccinated against COVID.  It can also return the consumer’s full set of vaccination records. Its QR code follows VCI standard and is approved by the industry watchdog.

ProviderReadi is our pandemic infrastructure builder.  With the IPOM focus on preparing for future pandemics, this tool allows you to set up and track all elements of your pandemic response plan.  It automates Provider enrollment and VTrckS ordering.  You can even use ProviderReadi to periodically test your pandemic response plan and ensure you can work effectively with other parties to be ready for the next pandemic.

PMSchools is our end-to-end system streamlining the whole school-located vaccination process.  It allows you to manage school-located and other community-based clinics and avoid scheduling nightmares!

  • The PMSchools self-scheduler allows you, or a vaccination provider,  to create all the clinic options for schools and then release them to the school system.
  •  The whole clinic schedule is displayed to all the schools seeking vaccination clinics.
  •  The schools select the clinic dates they want.
  •  You accept or deny their requests.
  •  Once you have accepted their request, the system generates an individual link for each school.
  • The school shares the link with students’ families.
  • Families sign up for the clinic using that link.

PMSchools provides a seamless experience with separate portals for public health, school health teams, and families.

PMGateway is a powerful solution that allows different IISs, EHRs and other health information systems to talk to each other.

  • One of the biggest interoperability challenges public health leaders face is the variation in messaging formats from system to system.  PMGateway allows your systems to speak to others.  If you want, for example, to send data to a hospital with an HER using a different data format, PMGateway can normalize the data formats and convert the messaging so that it can be received and recognized where it needs to go.
  • You can also pull data from PMGateway for reports.
  • PMGateway can be used to conduct data efficiency evaluations referenced in the IPOM.  You can evaluate your data transfer efficiency using this system and you don’t even have to be a PrepMod user to be able to access PMGateway.  Because we accept messages in all different formats, it’s just as simple as being connected to us through an automated API connection.
  •  PMGateway can also perform the record deduplication many public health organizations are looking for, both within and across systems.
  • It’s the ultimate interoperability machine that allows different public health systems to talk to each other.

IPOM Strategies Crosswalk

Here’s a look at how our systems directly relate to various IPOM strategies:

IPOM Chapter C1: Maintain a Network of Providers

  •  ProviderReadi allows you to enroll providers.  It allows providers to order their own vaccine and keep track of their vaccine.  It packages those messages and sends them out in the VTrckS format.  Providers can have their own private microsite to interface with you, order vaccine, and send Information.
IPOM Chapter C4: Use Mechanisms for Vaccine Planning and Ordering
  • The inventory management component in PMEnterprise actually alerts you when a vaccine is approaching an expiration date.

IPOM Chapter C5: Provider Storage and Handling
  • The provider microsite in our ProviderReadi product alerts providers about storage and handling needs.  It has a message center that you can use to send reminders and also allows you to track vaccines.

IPOM Chapter D1: Support Your Information Needs
  • Our PMGateway and PMEnterprise are feature-rich products that can help!

IPOM Chapter D2 Advance IIS Capabilities
  • If you’re using an outdated IIS, you can send your records through our PMGateway product to be converted to more-current formats such as JSON or FHIR format.  You don’t have to change your IIS or your clinic management system! You just need to connect to our tool.
  • PMEnterprise provides end-to-end clinic management and then transfers the clinic data to your IIS.

IPOM Chapter D3: Adhere to Industry IT Standards
  • Industry standards are changing to prepare for the future and evolve language and messaging formats.  Our PMEnterprise PM Gateway systems transform formats for you, moving data into FHIR, JSON, or other formats for messaging.

IPOM Chapter I1: Prepare for a Pandemic
  • Our ProviderReadi infrastructure builder lets you stay prepared for a pandemic and test  your pandemic response plan on a regular basis.  So when the next pandemic hits, you’ll be ready.

IPOM Chapter J1: Assess Students for Compliance
  • PMSchools, PMGateway and PMEnterprise can help here.
  • For example, you can use the vaccination history feature in PMEnterprise, and also design and run reports that will allow you to generate school compliance rates by student, by school, by grade and other data slices.

IPOM Chapter J2: Communicate School Coverage and Exemptions
  • PMSchools, PMGateway and PMEnterprise can help here.
  • For example, the PMEnterprise bi-directional data feature pulls the vaccination history of a student, allowing you to capture that information and communicate it to schools.

IPOM Chapters K1 and L1: Promote Continuous Quality Improvement for Adolescent (K1) and Adult (L1) Vaccinations
  • Our systems can help you vaccinate, pull and store vaccination data, and provide reports.  All of our tools can be used to collect data, and use them for adult and child vaccinations in community settings.

MSPP is the future of public health technology.  We use the most current technology and industry standards in our systems and messaging.  Our solutions, either singly or as a suite of systems, can help you meet your IPOM goals.  For additional information and a pricing quote, contact your MSPP Account Manager or Tiffany Tate, CEO, at tiffany.tate@multistatep4p.com.

WWPD: Using Private Microsite to Enhance School Clinics

MSPP is always interested in learning about how our partners use PrepMod features in innovative ways to enhance their day-to-day processes.  This quarter, we talked to Maria Carr from the Carroll County Health Department in Maryland to highlight how our Private Microsite feature has helped them run school clinics more efficiently. Q:  How have you been using Private Microsites?  A: We’ve been using Private Microsites for our school located vaccination clinics. Our private Microsites are created at the Organization level titled “Carroll County Health Department SLV” SLV meaning school located vaccination clinic. We’ve hosted the school venues holding clinics under the organization so that when a Private Microsite is shared, it makes it easier for parents and registrants to find the clinic they are looking for since only schools holding clinics appear.     We also don’t have to worry about people from all over the state of Maryland trying to register their child ...
